Choosing to Stay Positive

I wake up in pain every day, but I choose to not let it affect how my days go. I could honestly choose to whine and complain about my pain all day long. But what good does that do for me and the people around me? I don’t ignore the pain; I just choose to not let it affect what the day brings.

Some days are harder than others. No matter what, I’d rather choose to speak positivity and spread love than to complain, crab and annoy the people around me. The people that love me know that I’m in pain, but I hardly speak of it because I know it can get annoying after a while. What can my friends and family do? Nothing. That’s it. They can’t heal me or take my pain away. So, what good does it to complain to people about pain. All people can really say is “I’m sorry” and sometimes we get annoyed because we know that’s all people can say… People can give you suggestions like to specialists and doctors, but they can’t take the pain away. Only Jesus can.

I understand there are people in more pain than I am. Some people have to stay in hospitals for months and that stuff breaks my heart. It’s hard when we’re going through pain. We want it to end, and we want to be healthy. Sadly, life can throw a curve ball and sickness can come into play. No body ever asks to get sick. No body ever hopes for Cancer, Diabetes, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and many other diseases that are out there. Even though there are many sicknesses in the world, don’t give up hope.

God can heal. Psalms 103:2-5 “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
