God Knows Your Future

As humans we want to know what’s going to be within the next day, week, month even year.

Unfortunately if we were to know what our lives were going to look like, for instance, if we were shown the path Jesus has for us….we wouldn’t need faith.

Faith is trusting that God has your life in the palm of his hands even though you don’t know what the future will hold. It’s not always easy trusting the Lord, I’ve been there many times. But he has a plan whether it’s easy or not.

So many of us want to take control of our lives. Yet when we do, it doesn’t turn out how we’d hoped it would.

Personally, every day I have to remind myself that He is in control and not me. It’s hard. Out of all the times I’ve taken control of in my past, none of them turned out good. And yet Jesus was still patient and watching over me while I learned those lessons. They weren’t easy, but they helped me learn and grow to where I am today. Giving Him control and letting him work, you’ll see why it’s best.

The past week and a half I had been struggling because I’m always talking to God, yet it felt like he didn’t hear me. Last Sunday, after I came home from church, I went for a midday walk like I normally do throughout the week. As I was walking I kept hearing a voice, it was the sound of a little kid and I couldn’t figure out where I was hearing it. Soon enough as I kept walking I hear the voice again yell “Hey!” I then looked all around and then finally turned around and saw a little girl who yelled again from her play-set in her back yard “Hey Missy!” I then waved back and yelled “Hi!” To me, I felt like that was the Lord telling me that he’s always looking out for me. That even though I can’t see him, he sees me.

Jesus is always watching over you no matter where you are. He’s always protecting and always has his eyes on you.

Even when things seem out of whack or like the walls are caving in, remember who’s in control. Jesus was never in rush for anything, yet everyone is rushing through life as fast as they can. Stop. Slow down! There’s no need to rush. Jesus has you right where he wants you to be. If you rush, you’ll miss out on the opportunities he has right infront of you. Take each day at a time. Jesus knows your next steps, he knows your future, so don’t stress. What’s meant for you will be for you and you won’t have to force it. Trust in Him and he will guide you down the right path. He’s for you not against you.
