As much as I WANT to be in a different spot PHYSICALLY. I have to be patient. If you’re in a situation like me or have been before where you HAVE to let your body HEAL then you understand the STRUGGLE.
Being in a different spot physically, is something I do look forward to when the time comes. Unfortunately, for now, my goal is make my body HEALTHY…That means, eating foods that will NURISH & SUSTAIN my body. Not junk food, not processed food, HEALTHY FOOD. Food from a GARDEN, VEGETABLES, MEATS, CARBS! Here’s the thing, processed food “tastes” good, but is it really “good” for you. No, it’s not. When you go from eating processed food for most of your childhood and then eating it again as an adult, it just doesn’t taste the same. It still looks the same, but the taste is just so DIFFERENT. I LOVE eating healthy food. Not only because I HAVE to, but because I’ve LEARNED to LOVE it. My body LOVES it, plus I can add stuff to make it TASTE GOOD too!! That’s where spices come in!! When you eat RIGHT you’ll notice a difference in the gym, rather than working out and picking up fast food afterwards. Sorry to anyone that does that… unhealthy food in moderation isn’t bad, same with ice cream. Like I said in MODERATION. But, if you’re constantly eating bad food and junk all the time, you aren’t going to see the results you want to in the gym.
Having to take it EASY to regain my strength back is hard. My body is SORE. My body is WEAK. My body is TIRED. BUT, what I’m not going to allow is my body to crumble. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 “Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.” Even though I’m having to start back over with my workout journey, I’m not going to let that discourage me. We all start somewhere! It’s takes TIME. You’re not just going to see results in a day or two. It takes WEEKS/MONTHS! Having to “start over” does suck, but I’d rather start over and slowly get back up then to be sad and not ever try again. You have to pick and choose your battles. You have to pick your HARD. Unfortunately, my HARD is the gym. It’s not easy, it’s not simple. But, I want to better myself so I have to KEEP GOING no matter how difficult it is or how hard it may get sometimes. Do I struggle mentally with starting over? A little, but I choose to not let it affect me, because I would be letting the enemy “win” if I did.
We need to take CARE of our bodies. God doesn’t want us to abuse our bodies with food, drugs, alcohol, etc. He wants us to LOVE & CARE for our bodies. We get ONE body on EARTH, but we get NEW BODIES in HEAVEN. 1 Philippians 3:21 “who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. The fact that we will have NEW BODIES!!! WHAT?!? Praise the Lord 🙏🙏🙏
