We Need to Be The Change

We live in a broken world. But as Christian’s, we’re called to be the LIGHT of the world. Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

We’re called to shine our light in those dark places. I’ll admit, I struggle with that. I know people who don’t believe in Jesus and instead of “shinning” my light, I stay away. Is what I am doing the right thing? No, I need to BE the light to them, there’s already darkness surrounding them. Last Sunday, as I watched Hope Tri-Cities online, Pastor Angel spoke about how as followers of Christ we need to “HELP PEOPLE FIND JESUS”. Matthew 28:19-20 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

How many of us are trying to shine our light to others? How many of open our house to someone who doesn’t know God? How many of us stay inside our house because “we don’t want to go out”? I will admit, I am a homebody. But, that doesn’t mean that when you go out, you shouldn’t shine your light!! Just a simple SMILE, KIND GESTURE, COMPLIMENT, HELPING HAND, can go A LONG WAY for someone!! You don’t understand how something that may seem SMALL to you, is a BIG IMPACT to someone else!!

Don’t think that shinning your LIGHT doesn’t have an impact on someone else! 🙏
