Day In The Life

No body ever said life was going to be easy. Some days will be harder than others. But don’t let the hard days stop you from enjoying the life that was given to you. God didn’t promise us an easy life, but it was never meant to be difficult. Sometimes us humans, we make life difficult. Then, we complain why it’s not getting easier. We have to look back at the wonderful things that God has blessed us with in our life. We are going to have hard seasons and we are going to have good seasons. It is all about how you react to things that show’s God how strong and tough you are.

Every morning, I wake up in pain, just wondering when things will start getting better. All I can do is to trust God and remain faithful. Every day is a struggle for me. Whether it’s getting out of bed, getting into my car, working out, or even getting ready for the day. So many small things that seem simple, are big struggles for me. I didn’t ask for an auto immune disease. I didn’t ask for joint pain and many other physical issues that have been coming around every corner. But I know there is a reason I am going through this. I may not see it, but God knows. I know he knows why I am going through this. Do I get upset because of this? Yes, I do. Do I want answers to why this is happening? Absolutely I do. The funny thing is, I didn’t have these issues in high school. I was able to do sports, run miles and workout. But now, 5 years later I have issues that keep me from doing things I was able to do. It sure does suck, don’t get me wrong. But if all I do is wake up every day and complain about the same things and how I want my physical health to be better, I will be wasting each day away from the things I could be doing. Giving praise to God that I woke up. Being grateful that I’m still capable of some things. Thanking God for not giving up on me and for being my healer and protector.

To be honest, I wouldn’t be able to get through every day if it wasn’t for Jesus, my boyfriend or my family. Jesus shows me that I am not alone and that he has my life in his hands. He will heal me. He is my strength. Psalms 28:7-8 “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.”

Not every day is going to easy, but every day is a gift that we should enjoy and not take for granted. We don’t know what the day will have prepared for us, but we should be grateful that we were blessed with another day. Tomorrow isn’t promised, and that’s truth.
